Daily Building Announcements:

HIGH SCHOOL- March 4, 2022

1. Students:  Prom is quickly approaching !! Friendly reminder to make sure you have any outstanding school fees paid prior to prom sign up on April 4th.  

 

2.Don’t wait too long !!  Purchase your tickets for Beauty and the Beast !!   You may buy them in the high school office during office hours or on the high school web site, look under announcements to find the link to purchase them online.  

 

3.If you did not receive scheduling information in class from Mrs. Frary, please see her sometime this week to get what you need.  Class request forms are due soon ! 

 

4.Seniors:  Please continue to check your Norwayne email.  There have been a few scholarship opportunities for health care and engineering majors sent your way. 

 

5.A reminder to all girls track athletes to turn in their ticket money and food donations to Mrs. Indorf or Mr. O’Hare today or you can bring your food to the Moose breakfast on Sunday by 7:30 am.

 

6.Attention Bobcat Students:  We need you to come out tonight and cheer on your boys basketball team.  We are playing for the District Title Championship game and could use your support.  Tickets can be purchased online at OHSAA.org/tickets.  Let’s fill the student section and support our boys !!! 

 

7.We will be administering the state required ACT to all Norwayne High School 11th grade students on March 9th.  This includes 11th grade Career Center students.  This is a scheduled two hour delay for the rest of the district.  All 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students will not need to attend school on March 9thso that we can utilize multiple classrooms and teachers for proctoring of the ACT test to our 11th grade students.  On March 9th, all 11th grade students will need to report by 7:30 am.  We will provide breakfast in the commons at 7:30 and students will be divided into their exam sections.  At the completion of the testing time we will also be providing students with a bagged lunch from the cafeteria.  We are hoping to be done with testing by noon.  If personal transportation will be a problem for you on that day please let us know as soon as possible. 

 

8.All boys interested in running outdoor track this spring: The first official practice will be Tuesday, March 8th, you will meet in the APEX room to start practice.  Please dress for the weather.  All track shirt order forms are due by next Thursday, March 10th.  Please see Coach Morgan if you have not received a form yet. 

 

9.There will be a short meeting in the library after school for anyone interested in playing Tennis.

 

10.We would like to congratulate and wish our indoor track athletes good luck at the Division 2 – 3 indoor state competition tomorrow.  Best of luck to the girls 4X200 team of Maddie May, Elise Uhler, Briaunna Hostetler, and Lacy Hess.  Elise Uhler in the 60m  hurdles, Jaylee Wingate in the 800, and Grace Sparks in the shot put and weight throw.  Our boys 4X200 team of Brady Lendon, Caleb Erhard, Brayden Hostetler and Derek Berger.  Dillon and Colby Morlock in the shot put and the weight throw.  

MIDDLE SCHOOL- March 4, 2022

-Yearbook order forms are due at the office today.   Forms are available in the office.

 

-Please sign up for breakfast and lunch on your computer.  

 

-The 28th D.C. Dinner and Basketball Event will be Friday, March 11, 2022 at Norwayne High School. 

Dinner will be served from 4:30-7:30 p.m.  Donations only.  Menu Includes:  Pulled pork, hot dogs, green beans, cheesy noodles, applesauce, salad, dessert & drink.  3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grade basketball begins at 5:00, 7th & 8th grade 3-point Shot contest at 7:30, Staff basketball games begin at 8:00 p.m.  Cost is $1.00 per person and $5.00 for family.

This is a benefit for the 8th grade Washington DC Trip!!!
